ABOUT NANCY LANE INTERIORS
Nancy Barnett
Founder, Owner, & Principal Designer
Globe-trotting homebody, design dilemma decoder, writer, personal growth junkie, collector of life lessons, runner, wife, mother, and heart-and-soul client caretaker...

Nancy is the type of designer who brings both wisdom and warmth to every space she touches.

It may surprise you to know that Nancy also holds a degree in chemistry, but then again, there's clearly an art and a science behind the transformations she's created in her clients' homes since 2015.

While many designers look to a great fabric or a piece of art as the inspiration for a space, Nancy approaches her designs the same way she lives her life: People first. She begins each project by listening to her clients to understand who they are and how they live. Then she kindly but expertly takes charge, leading the vision, guiding decisions, and streamlining the entire process to make life during the project easier for everyone involved.
Driven by her passion to help people love living in their homes, Nancy enjoys lasting relationships with clients in and around Houston, Texas where she resides with her husband and three sons, as well as Colorado, North & South Carolina, Georgia, and anywhere they call home. When she's not designing beautiful spaces, you'll find Nancy elbow deep in dirt gardening or making her way through a pre-dawn run.

"Just before I turned eight, my family lost our home to a fire. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but in the coming years, I watched as my parents struggled to build a new house. They worked so hard to put a roof over their five daughters' heads and put our family home back together. We all helped, hauling bricks across the yard, painting our rooms, fixing up furniture, sewing curtains, you name it, we did it. To say that this experience is at the center of who I am and why I do what I do is an understatement. I know firsthand the importance of home. I know what it is to want and need a personal space where you can close the door on the world and just be yourself. I know what it's like to not feel at home in the place where you keep your belongings and rest your head at night. I can't control every circumstance that makes people feel that way, but I can go to the mat to make sure my clients feel truly, madly, deeply in love with the home where they live." ~ Nancy
