Remember my friend Blair's fantastical wedding spectacular I covered last week? Not only does she know how throw a banger of a party, but she and her family also own a collection of bungalows and cottages along the East Coast that have been impeccably renovated and put up for short term stays. The hubs and I are already making plans to go back and stay in one of the two we're featuring today. If you're looking for a getaway destination too, I highly recommend a relaxing rendezvous with Moore House Stays.
She has no idea I'm even doing this feature today, but her talent is out of this world y'all. I have to share!!
This first cottage is the Harbor Side Cottage, and if you're looking to chillax yards away from the water, this is the staycation place for you!
This property is a 1/2 mile from the beach, and has two waterfront decks, a private dock, an outdoor seating area and an open concept interior floor plan. You're also close to the historic town of Tiverton Four Corners, and 25 minutes north of Newport, Rhode Island.
Look at that view peeking out of that window! Just gorgeous!
Blair just completed a moody refresh for this cottage, and it just immediately caught my eye in her newsletter. I also love that you can request specific experiences for each property as well. You can request chef's nights with local tastemakers, a curated beach picnic, an intimate celebration, and a few more! I'm already making our list.
Again, that view is ridiculous! The two bedrooms can accommodate five people total - one has a queen bed and the other has a queen and a twin bed. Both bedrooms have a giant deck overlooking the water - that's where I would be every day reading under my big sun hat. Or sitting in bed with my coffee watching that view.
If this looks like just the right place for your next getaway, explore and book your stay here!
Nature's Cottage is my other personal favorite for a few reasons. The cottage borders the Emilie Ruecker Wildlife Refuge, and is a short few minute's drive to Fogland Beach, local restaurants, farmer's markets, and coffee shops. The cottage has a screened-in porch to keep the bugs away, as you see above, and an adjacent deck overlooking the gardens as well as a large outdoor grill and fire pit.
I love the seclusion of this property so so much! But I also love how quirky it is inside!
That pink velvet Victorian chaise is just fabulous. We have an honest to goodness wood stove in the living room as well, and an open eat-in kitchen just behind it all.
After we spent our whirlwind weekend in Rhode Island over Labor Day, we realized we wanted to come back and take time to explore. Our only conundrum will be exactly where we will stay. #whynotboth? #bookingmultipletripsnow
She is not afraid to use bold color, and I'm so here for it.
Ah, that door is so good! The whole home feels intentionally collected, and filled with so many things that must have interesting past life stories.
This main bedroom on the second floor has a king bed, a jacuzzi tub in an ensuite bathroom, a private deck and a laundry room nearby. The second bedroom is on the main floor and has a queen bed with a shared full bathroom.
It feels like you're in a forest in this bathroom, my goodness! I would be out on that deck here as well, with my coffee and book in tow!
Book your stay here and leave it pristine for me, ok? :)
When is your next vacation scheduled? As we are gearing up for having two less people in our house very soon (#twinsgoingtocollege), we know planning time together is crucial. It's comforting now to know we have a great option in New England, especially if one of the boys ends up going to school in the area like we are anticipating. Book that vacation, y'all. It's worth it and so are you!
